• WineLife Wines from Portugal – Sinner & Sinless Tasting & Reviews

WINELIFE comes from our passion for wine, from exploring new knowledge, cultures, emotions and flavors wishing these to ingrain into one’s depths renewing its desires.

Having this in mind, we sail into a journey through the winery world in search of the unknown, always hopping to find new and fascinating wine. It was on most unexpected times when we discovered the exceptional in wine. Our wine is made, packed and labelled in a traditional way; therefore no imprecision is considered as a flaw but as an individuality marker in each bottle, the result of an handmade product.

At the end of this journey, a Private Selection was born, which we are proud to share with you.

We make it now our mission to bring to you what we consider to be the best wine in the world.

  • 2017 WineLife Sinless red, Alentejo Score: 90/100 points

Blend of Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon, D.O.C. Alentejo.

Overall Review Notes & Tasting Impressions

A deep and dark red wine certainly featuring solid color intensity, not overly dark though, but looking dense.

The aromatic profile is rather closed up to start with, notes that are typical and that betray a reductive character, burn tire are dominant but slowly fade away after 10-15 minutes in the glass. A potential problem for the average wine consumer or wine professional.

The palate though is very juicy, dry with a velvety texture where dense tannins add some enjoyable grip to the texture. Bug burst of ripe purple plum and fresh dark warm blackberry with layered sweet spices and vanilla that amplify the overall pleasing smoothness of the wine.

The wine’s dry juiciness and vivacity contrasting with the rich ripe and comforting cooked fruit note, and the long salivating finish with many layers of complexity make for a wine that displays great potential. Winemakers should think of refining and controlling the reductive character. They will then have here an excellent deep yet lively red wine.

Blend of Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Trincadeira and Alfrocheiro, D.O.C. Alentejo.

Overall Review Notes & Tasting Impressions

A deep and intense dark color with deep red hues to the rim.

The wine features an intense aromatic profile of ripe blackberry, prune and ample sweet spices. It feels and smells ripe and powerful.

Rich tannic texture with rather dense tannins, rich oily body and generous warmth. Explosive flavors of red berry jam, well integrated oaky tones and a myriad of savory sweet spices.

An opulent warming and comforting wine with solid complexity and generous length. A wine made from ripe grapes in a warm vintage bringing in concentration yet good acidic balance.
